Karen Abu Adra, a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, loves to travel and immerse herself in the local color wherever she finds herself. A keen observer of culture, she speaks four languages (English, German, Hebrew and Arabic) and has been known to teach herself foreign alphabets for the fun of it before a new adventure. She has lived, studied or worked in Germany, Austria, Hungary and has called Israel home since 1993.
